So I woke up on saturday morning and was fed up with my house. It felt as though it was always dirty. It wasn't but my lounge had this rug that always needed cleaning and hoovering and my sofas looked grungy even though they were clean

Is it still wet? Try pouring lots and lots and lots of salt on it, and letting it sit overnight.
