It's huge for a company to admit that they were in error and that it was embarrassing. That's a great apology. I honestly feel bad for Amazon in this whole thing and have no problem continuing to purchase from them.

It is very carefully worded. Makes me wonder how many drafts it went through before it was deemed good to send! I am glad that this mistake was caught, though it is unfortunate that it had to blow up in their faces.

Given that I can't afford to spend on anything for a while (yea for 2008 taxes AND paying estimated taxes in the same month... *groan*), I won't be giving Amazon my money anytime soon. I think that when that time rolls around, I'll have more perspective on the issue and be able to come to a reasonable decision. At the moment, I would have to say no to Amazon, even if I did have money to spend.
