Jin is a singer and he desperately needs a dancer for his upcoming show. Kame is a dancer and he has some trouble with bad guys. The two meet and hate each other but they have no other choice so they make a deal.

Deal 1
"We don't have to be friends; I need your help and you need mine"

Akanishi Jin was tired. He was dead tired and he knew only one way to cure this illness. Drinking. So that’s why he was sitting in the small, cozy pub, gulping his beer and waiting for his best friend. He sighed contently and started to relax.

“I’m not lying Ueda! I’m telling the truth!”

He would start to relax, to be exact, if this annoying little brat wasn’t shouting at the other table behind him. Jin felt the nervousness return to his mind and body and he lifted his hand to rub his forehead.

Why is this happening now?

He thought he would have a nice evening without thinking about work and stress and without worrying about some drunk guys shouting their hearts out with no particular reason.

“I said that I want to quit then he grabbed my arm and tried to punch me. Can you imagine that, Ueda?”

There he goes again. Jin desperately tried to find another table far from the annoying guy but he could find none, not even close to him. The pub was full. Yes, what did he expect? It’s Friday evening after all. Anger started to fill his senses as he was listening to the young boy who didn’t seem to stop to take a breath at all while talking. Jin cursed inwardly and thanked God that he was sitting with his back towards the other table and not being able to see him at least. He took a sip from his glass then he was so startled that he choked and started coughing violently.

“Whaaaaaat? You can’t be serious!!!” shouted the boy from the other table.

Jin cursed, this time loudly and decided to shut this asshole’s mouth with his fists when his friend arrived. The boy sat down in front of Jin. He was about to greet his friend with a large grin, but the words didn’t come out as he noticed Jin’s gloomy face.

“Oi! Jin, what’s up? What’s up with that face?” he asked and turned to the waiter who came to take his order. “One beer, please”. Then he turned back to the sulking man. “So, what’s wrong?”

Jin opened his mouth to respond but he was cut off by a much louder voice than he intended to use.

“But tell me what I should do, Ueda? I only have a month left! What should I do?”

Jin lifted his gaze to the boy in front of him giving him a knowing look then started to knock his head onto the table. “I can’t take it anymore, Pi,” he sighed dramatically.

Yamapi smiled then patted Jin’s head.”Don’t mind them, Jin!”

“How can I not? He's been shouting for an hour now. If he goes on like this he will make me deaf. How will I sing then?” Jin asked

Yamapi giggled. “You’re exaggerating. Well, try to concentrate on me instead. Tell me about your concert. Did you find replacement?”

Jin shut his eyes and sighed. “No, not yet. Since Taguchi broke his leg we cannot practice as we should. The only dancer who was willing to join refused when I told him about the acrobatic moves he is supposed to do. So that’s it. I only have one week left and I'm in need of a professional dancer” Jin palmed his face thoughtfully. He was so damned tired.

Yamapi studied his friend’s face trying to find some encouraging words and when he finally decided to speak he was cut off just like Jin was a few minutes ago.

“I can’t believe that! He is a playboy, Tat-chan!!! Hahaha!!! That’s an interesting story! Haha,” annoying brat laughed loudly at the other table.

Yamapi turned to look at his friend and gulped. Jin’s eyes reflected such anger that Yamapi felt like sinking under the table. “Jin, calm down, ok?”, he said slowly, not planning to make the man mad at himself as well.

”But no!!! He was not like that! I don’t want to believe!”

”That’s it”, Jin said clenching his fists. He stood up abruptly, ready to beat the hell out of this nerve-racking stupid boy but Yamapi hands stopped him.

“Jin, sit down, calm down okay? Why don’t we go to another place?” he suggested carefully when he managed to push Jin back into his seat. But when the other man heard his innocent suggestion, jumped up and pierced Yamapi through with his murderous gaze then whispered in a dangerously calm voice . “I’m not going anywhere, Pi. I like this place”

“Come on, Ueda, tell me who it is!!!”

Jin shut his eyes and he felt that he couldn’t hold himself back anymore…

“You have to tell me!! Please….. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase!!!!”

“Shut up!!! Shut the hell up, will you?” Jin shouted and in a second he stood in front of the other table where two men was staring at him in utmost shock.

Kamenashi Kazuya was running. As fast as he could. When he turned around the corner, he stopped and leaned against the wall, panting. He stuck his head out and took a look behind. There was noone. It seems they had given up chasing him.

Kame sighed then giggled. It is a shame to run, but it’s useful, they say. He pushed up his glasses which had slipped down his nose and started walking down the street. He won't be able to run away forever, he knew, but for today it was okay.

He entered the pub checking the address and when he saw his best friend, he walked towards him.

“Hey, Tat-chan!!” he shouted happily while the other just shook his head, smiling. Kame was always cheerful and loud but he had gotten used to it. He was like a child and he lived his life like a child without worrying about anything. His attitude hadn’t changed, not even after he had to go through such difficulties. But this was his charm.

“Hey,” he greeted the younger boy. They ordered beer. “So how is it going?” Ueda asked.

Kame winced and shook his head, brushing back his brown locks. “Not well, I can’t quit. I have to pay if I want to leave,” he said, taking a sip of his beer.

”Kame, is it possible that you don’t really want to quit?” Ueda asked with suspicion evident in his voice.

Kame raised his head and frowned. “I want to, Tat-chan, but they don’t let me,” he said slowly.

Ueda raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Kame stared at him then began shouting again. “I’m not lying, Ueda! I’m telling the truth!”

“Okay, okay. Stop yelling. So what happened?” he asked and the younger boy started to tell the story after another gulp of beer.

“I decided to make an appointment with the boss and tell him about it, but when I entered his room I felt that it wouldn’t be going smoothly,” Kame said, raising his voice more and more with excitement. ”He was mad about some business so I wanted to leave. But then he asked me what I wanted. I said that I wanted to quit then he grabbed my arm and tried to punch me. Can you imagine that, Ueda?” he yelled and furiously grabbed the glass and drank half of its content.

Ueda giggled a bit but then asked seriuosly, “Did he hit you?”

“No, he said that I have to pay four times as much as my debt would be now, then he lets me go,” Kame sighed.

“You should go back and apologize”

“Whaaaaaat? You can’t be serious!!!” Kame glared at him. “I would never ever bow my head for that shithead!!” he said angrily.

“Okay,” Ueda gave a resigning sigh. “But what happened after that?”

“Well, he said that I have to pay the money back to him but I can also pay with my body,” he laughed and ignored the shock on Ueda’s face. “And he sent his bodyguards towards me so I ran,” he finished the story and his beer at the same time.

“You can’t run away forever, you know, Kame,” Ueda said with a meaningful look.

“But tell me what I should do, Ueda? I only have a month left! What should I do?” the younger boy whined and pouted but in the next moment his eyes lit up and glared at his friend. “Hey, do you know anything about Ryo? They say he is being weird.”

Ueda winced a bit and fidgeted with his glass in front of him “I don’t know,” he started hesintantly. “He is being rude to everyone, he is depressed and I always see him spacing out,” he said. Kame glared at him, then his eyes went wide.

“Do you think…”

“They say he met a girl and fell for her. He wanted to propose but then he found her with another man in his bed,” Ueda said in a low voice, then let out a sad smile. Kame just kept glaring at him then he burst out laughing.

“I can’t believe that! He is a playboy, Tat-chan!!! Hahaha!!! That’s an interesting story! Haha,” Kame laughed loudly which made some faces turn towards them from the neighbouring tables.

Ueda sighed. ”So that’s why he is being weird lately. He is depressed because of a slut who cheated on him”

“But no!!! He was not like that! I don’t want to believe!” Kame yelled as he was trying to stop giggling. He looked up at his friend and frowned seeing his thoughtful face. “Talking about love… I think there is someone else here who is pretty much depressed,” he smirked at Ueda who blushed hard and cleared his throat. Seeing his reaction, Kame couldn’t stop himself from asking. “Who is it?”

Ueda’s face was even darker now and he couldn’t look at Kame. “I have no idea what you’re talking about…”, he protested weakly.

Kame smiled; he knew his friend well enough to know that he touched the spot. He became more excited, grabbed Ueda’s hand and started to shake it. “Come on, Ueda, tell me who it is!!!” he shouted. Ueda just shook his head and tried to get free from Kame’s grip.

“You have to tell me!! Please….. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase!!!!” Kame begged, or rather yelled but he never got an answer because a loud and pretty much angry voice cut them off.

“Shut up!!! Shut the hell up, will you?” and in the next moment a tall man stood in front of them, with unbelievably beautiful features and a very furious look on his face.

~ // --- // ~

“Excuse me?” Kame asked and pushed his glasses up a bit.

“I’ve been listening to your non-stop babbling for an hour now and not because I’m so interested, believe me!” Jin shouted and took a step towards the boy to emphasize his point. Kame was looking the man with confusion.

“Are you implying that I’m loud?”

Jin’s eyes widened and he leaned on the table. “You are very clever, I see, that’s exactly what I’m talking about,” he said with a low voice then he added matter-of-factly. “I think you should go and find another place before I beat you up”

Kame stared at him, not really believing his ears and he felt anger boiling in him. What the hell does he want? It doesn’t really matter how handsome he is, if he is an asshole.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said firmly, not looking away from the man but rising up from his chair. He leaned onto the table and the two were facing each other closely now.

“Do you wanna pick up a fight? Then let’s go outside and put an end to this argument,” Jin said as he watched the younger boy. He felt the urge to tear those stupid glasses from the other’s face. Not only in anger but also because he had beautiful eyes which Jin didn’t notice until now. Kame looked away and laughed nervously.

“Fight? No… not really...”

Jin smirked. “Are you afraid that I beat you up?” he asked in a playful tone.

“As if you could,” Kame snorted. “But I prefer thinking of more peaceful solutions,” he laughed once again, much more nervously than before.

Jin’s grin widened. “I know a peaceful solution. You’re going away and everyone will have their peace”

“No, I don’t wanna go away,” Kame protested stubbornly but he stepped back when he saw the other man approaching him with a dangerous look on his face. “Let’s make a deal,” he shouted and Jin stopped, glaring at the other in shock.

“Huh?” he asked disbelievingly.

“I mean… uh…” Kame tried to think fast. “We’re going to play a game, the one who loses has to go away,” he blurted out hoping that the other won’t beat the living daylight out of him then and there. “Name the game,” he added.

Jin blinked a few times as he was trying to decide whether he should punch the boy or take the offer. “It’s not a deal. It’s a bet,” he said.

Kame gave a confused look but then just shrugged. “Okay, whatever. Are you in?”

“Drinking contest,” Jin exclaimed and when Kame’s eyes went wide, his lips formed a smirk. “I see, you’re not the type. Haha! Then I have no other choice,” he said and started to roll up his sleeves.

Kame jumped and began shouting. “No, wait… haha… what are you talking about? There is no way you can beat me in drinking,” ha giggled nervously and cold sweat started to roll down his back. “I’m the drinking champion, right Tat-chan?” he mumbled, not really looking at his friend as if he was afraid that Jin would jump on him if he tore his gaze away from the taller man.

He missed Ueda face-palming and didn’t hear him mumble the word ’baka’ several times.

“Okay, let’s start! The one who passes out, pukes or says ’I give up’, loses. Get it?” Jin said as he settled down at Ueda’s and Kame’s table. Kame nodded and gulped loudly as he sat down in front of Jin.

~ // --- // ~

“I GIVE UP!!!!” Kame shouted, then bent his head on the table, groaning.

“Haha! I won! Not that I had doubts of any kind,” Jin yelled as he slammed his glass down next to the other six empty glasses.

“Baka!” Ueda and Yamapi exclaimed at the very same moment, one referring to the lifeless Kame, the other to Jin, who was now cheering himself as loudly as Kame was shouting with excitement just an hour ago.

Then Jin sat down and studied Kame’s face and slender figure. ’He has a nice body and silky skin’. His face is also handsome…no, wait, it’s beautiful…no, wait… what the hell am I thinking about? I must be very drunk!!’ Jin shook his head then turned to the sleeping boy.

“Hey, wake up, you lost! You have to go now!”

Kame raised his head from the table and frowned. “As if I could stay here in my condition… Give me five minutes,” he mumbled.

“Kame, why?” Ueda whined. “You know you have to go to the audition tomorrow. You won’t be able to move,” he said, pretending to be mad at his friend.

“What audition?” Yamapi asked.

“Kame is a dancer. Tomorrow he has to go to an audition if he wants a job, which he wants, believe me,” Ueda replied.

Jin stared in front of him blankly, then he suddenly stood up and started to shake Kame’s shoulders.

“Jin, what the hell?” Yamapi asked, but he was totally ignored as Jin was paying attention only to the groaning, drunk boy.

“What?” Kame mumbled angrily as he was trying to escape from Jin’s violent action.

“Are you really a dancer?” he asked with excitement.

“Yeah…”

“Can you do acrobatic moves?”

Kame rolled his eyes. “Of course I can… I’m a fucking professional, you know…” Kame started to giggle but he stopped when he felt that Jin released him suddenly. No matter how drunk he was, his sensors were still functioning and he knew that the other thought of something. And he wasn’t sure he wanted to know what it was.

Jin smirked at the younger man. “Let’s make a deal. A real one this time”

“Huh? What do you mean?” Kame asked cautiously.

“You have to dance in my performance which will be held for a month, one show each week, and I give you the money you need if you fulfill your task,” Jin said as he was running his gaze up and down on Kame’s figure.

Kame blushed a bit, but since he was drunk, he was sure that the other wouldn’t notice it. Then he slapped his hand on the table and glared at the taller man. “How… how do you know?”

Jin rolled his eyes and laughed, satisfied. “The whole world knows about it since you couldn’t shut your mouth up for one hour, yelling about your financial problems and private life,” he said and folded his arms lazily in front of his chest.

Kame wasn’t able to form an intelligent answer inside his head so he blurt out directly what he had in mind. “You jerk!”

Jin smirked and looked at the boy. “Are you in?” Then he didn’t bother to wait for the younger man’s answer, he wrote his name and address on a piece of paper and put it on the table.

Kame frowned as he was trying to read the writing. “Ak… Akana… Akani…” he mumbled.

“Akanishi Jin,” Jin helped him.

Kame scratched his head and tried to think very hard. “It rings a bell…”

“And your name?” Jin cut him off.

Kame looked up at him. “Kamenashi Kazuya,” he said, looking into the dark brown eyes and he felt his head spinning. He shouldn’t have drunk so much.

“Look, Kamenashi, I don’t care if you hate me, I find you very annoying, too. But we don’t have to be friends. I need your help and you need mine, so meet me tomorrow at 8 a.m at my place and we can start practicing. If you manage to keep up with us and perform for a month, you get the money you need. How does it sound?” he said in a firm voice then stretched his hand out and looked straight into Kame’s eyes, waiting for his answer.

Kame tried to think clearly but anger and vodka were spinning through his veins. He wanted to punch this arrogant bastard on the face but what the other man was talking about made some sense. He hesitated for another few moments, then he finally lifted up his right hand. ’Only one month,' he thought as he shook Jin’s strong and warm hand.

“Deal.”
