You know itls been ages since I talked about dS. And that's sad. I need to get back to the fun I have witht he show, pictures, meta, not really fic because I'm stll doing that

He's pretty awful in The Witness (from the transcript: Fraser: I understand. Ohhhhh dearrrr. [runs into the trash piled on the curb and almost into three people.] I'm sorry. I'm sorry, my mistake. [one guy is thumping the hood in anger] It's entirely my fault. I'll just uh- [he backs it up]) and in Dead Guy Running, there's Fraser: Understood. Oh, it's? Kowalski: (miming actions with hands) Brake, gas. Brake, gas. Careful.
I think it's like the dancing -- sometimes he's perfectly capable and sometimes he moves like a block of wood. Or poker -- in YMRT, he plays well; in Odds they have to teach him the game!
We see Fraser walk to the cabin but had he walked all the way? And there were no roads near the cabin so was the jeep used for going over tough terrain?
In which case, how did Ray manage to turn up on his doorstep?
Ray hitched a ride form...a local passing inuit with dogsled? Except Ray's response suggests he hasn't been on a dogsled before the chase scene.
Of all the questions I have about the Pilot I really struggle to come with an explanation as to how Ray got there. We see Fraser walking there through the snow and there doesn't appear to be a road nearby...
Either way it must have taken some effort. He really wanted to see Fraser again. ;-)
I think it must have been a childhood/teenage thing. When he was 10 or 11 maybe he saw a Riv for the first time nad it fired his imagination.
I think so too. It makes sense for him to get a cheap one. I think Angie would have had her own car but he could have used it. He probably got that from a relative.
Yeah it wouldn't be much use int he winter. I ownder why the dogs weren't with Bob. Unless he had left the sled and gone on on foot and the dgos were brought back to the cabin. Or he went on foot more often than not.
No. It's kinda been screwed over by the hosting company of technical incompetence.
Basically from what I understand the hosting company think that all the hits on the site are a DOS attack and special rules need to be implemented for the server. TJ the site owner gave them the information they needed to do this days and days ago and so far they have done diddly squat.
So TJ has ordered a new server to sort things out. That should be coming in the next couple of days.
There is an effort over at the wanky forums to save eggs as a few folk have not bad luck getting on the site so have been checking eggs and putting them in the ERs (which has worked for a lot of them as folk like me can viuew but not click) to save them. Time has also been added onto eggs and hatchlings as a temporary measure.
If you want I can see if I can load your scroll and see if I can see the eggs. What's the URL?

I'd go with Bob owning the jeep and a dog sled and dogs, different 'vehicles' for different occasions.

Sounds right. He'd need the flexibility.

If I can't I can track down someone who can.
