He's pretty awful in The Witness (from the transcript: Fraser: I understand. Ohhhhh dearrrr. [runs into the trash piled on the curb and almost into three people.] I'm sorry. I'm sorry, my mistake. [one guy is thumping the hood in anger] It's entirely my fault. I'll just uh- [he backs it up]) and in Dead Guy Running, there's Fraser: Understood. Oh, it's? Kowalski: (miming actions with hands) Brake, gas. Brake, gas. Careful.
I think it's like the dancing -- sometimes he's perfectly capable and sometimes he moves like a block of wood. Or poker -- in YMRT, he plays well; in Odds they have to teach him the game!
I think Fraser would be fine on an open road without people. I think the people arw what distracts him. He's not used to them being there walking near the road, across the road or driving near him. I think that's what throws him.
In The Promise (street kids) he does seem to have to check he's put it in drive at one point.
Yes I suspect his first car was sold to him by a cousin or uncle. Possibly his cousin Al or another relative working at that garage. He would probably whine about the quality to get it as cheap as possible. I would think he used the car pool (I bet Angie did) and yeah squad cars. Although I get the impression he soent time walking the beat early in his career and wouldn't have needed a car.
I think that as well. It makes sense. I am sure Fraser would have arranged maybe the local Mountie outpost to keep an eye on things. We know that they found out the cabin was burned down in VS so someone was keeping an eye on to inform them at the very least.
It is very deep snow in the Pilot.
He meets Gerard on foot, yes. By a road. We don;t get any real idea how far it is from the cabin. It's nowhere in camera view. That I do know.
I think he is much better on a doglsed ;-) But he is a country driver.
