This is the first time for me to read about something like this from your journal, so feel feel to correct me if I misunderstand anything. Lol.

I know the feeling of being intimidated by upperclassmen. Earlier this year, I lost all my friends who were in my grade, so I started talking to A LOT of upperclassmen guys. I always was scared of them, but they ended up being really nice, and they don't look down upon me. I guess in a way, you see them the same way? Maybe? I don't know. Haha.

Also, I understand how you want to help Richard when he's sad. I'm in a situation very similar to this, and I want to help my upperclassmen through their problems, because they really helped me. But, don't feel bad if they don't really want to talk about things yet. Because you're never obligated to return their kindness. As long as you're just there for them as a true friend, that's all the "payment" you really need to give. Friendship. :D

Ahh, I'm sorry to hear you lost your friends in your grade ): I can't say I fully understand that pain, but I know I do at least a little bit, because I have no friends in choir that are in my grade, and chor is like a mainstream activity.
