Wow, I can't believe it's here already! I'm super excited, to the point of feeling a little sick (but that might be nerves, since my stuff isn't quite ready, and we're doing a skit...). Art, Cosplay and Christmas
I'll start this entry with non-cosplay information. I got a Fullmetal Alchemist calendar for 2008 *happy dance*. I love it, and I'm so glad it finally got here! I ordered it on the 19th of December, and they (AllPosters.com) had a free shipping upgrade for delivery by Christmas Eve. Back-Parting A Wig: The Oddessy Begins
I spent the night at Melissa's on Saturday. We got some spray paint (yay!) and started working on our umbrellas in the garage (see previous entry ^_^). Mine is "Cherry Red Gloss" and hers is "Hosta Leaf Gloss." Wig!!!
My base-wig for my Tsunade cosplay arrived on Tuesday *does happy-idiot dance*. Of course, its arrival necessitated playing with it, putting it on, and taking doofy pictures of myself wearing it (which are SO unfit to be seen that never shall they see the light of day!). Moronic Gaians (Randonimity Alert!)
Urg! There are so many stupid people on Gaia. I like to browse the Art Arena, but lately there are a disproportionately high number of broken images because people either provide bad/non-existent links or attempt to link to an image hosted somewhere (usually deviantART) that does not allow direct linking. They need to use Photobucket or ImageShack ( Read more... ) -
Image Protection
I found out how to disable remote linking of images for my site using a .htaccess file. I even figured out how to add other types (the tutorial only showed GIF and JPG, but it wasn't hard to add PNG) Yay! I could probably protect any file type I want this way ^_^ (not that I have any others to block...). No external linking directly to my files! I ( Read more... ) -
Yay, a DVD burner!
My dad got a new computer today. We finally have a DVD-RW drive! Now I can make system back-ups of my art and such crap without having to divide it all up into tiny pieces to fit onto many, many CDs. I never want another hard-drive-go-PFFT! experience. I still miss those files I lost. Nothing else to say right now. -
