*Hugs you*

I hope it will all be okay. And I admire your dedication to raising your kids!

(I was placed in kindergarten at age 4. Wasn't happy.)

Don't worry, we are. :) After all, He did give us that raise! It would have been MUCH worse had that not happened!

((Hugs))

First, don't worry, the kids will be more than happy with what you've already bought them!

Secondly, you're absolutely right: it would be crazy to get a job for extra income if most of your paycheck would go to childcare. This time with your children will go by fast enough as it is, so enjoy it while you can!

Yeah, I'm so grateful that, despite setbacks like this, I can stay home with them. I used to think I would just put them in day care. After all, I grew up in daycare since my mother was a single parent. Once I had Kat, though, I realised I didn't really want to do that at all. Funny how they change things, huh? :)

I hate when auto repairs crop up. They are always so much and so immediate. Not like you can save up for them... well, some people are smart and do that, but we don't. Sigh...

I agree with you on every point. It WILL get better. And yeah, it never fails, that just when you a little extra money, something happens (usually the car). :D And I agree with you about raising the kids.... I don't have anything against daycare, no axe to grind or anything like that. And that's why I stayed home when Aidan was little, and I thank God every day that I did. With Colin, it's been tougher because I've had to go to work. I'm glad I'm a teacher and get so much time off, that helps to compensate somewhat. But the other thing that I'm grateful for is that Scott is working weekends, so Colin doesn't have to go to daycare. He's home with Daddy, ya know? I'm sad it's not me, but I'm happy it's Scott. Aidan is in VPK, namely for the speech program, which is helping him TREMENDOUSLY, and sometimes I feel guilty over sending him to school at age 3 (kinda like the PP said).... but the trade off has been *so* worth it ( ... )
