Info: This is a very short fic set very far in the future. Yami and Yugi are like...in their 40's/50's. I'll let the ficlet explain itself. x3
If someone had been at the Domino airport that day at around 4:30 pm, they would have seen many people waiting for planes to land, husbands and wives and lovers waiting for their partners, ready to run forward and hug them and kiss them and welcome them home.
And that day they would have seen, among the crowd, a man with a trim figure, deep purple eyes that were nearly child-like, and a head of fluffy tri-coloured hair with bangs that refused to stay put behind his ears. He was not a young man, but in many ways he still resembled one by his open face, although right now he had a decidedly impatient look on it and was staring intently toward the nearest terminal.
And if they had looked closely, they would have seen, through the busy crowd of departing fliers coming from that terminal, another man that looked almost just like the first, only a little taller, with eyes a little darker and wiser, and a few stray silver hairs blending into his red, blond, and black strands. He, too, seemed impatient as he cast a deep gaze around the crowd of people, searching.
And if they’d kept watching, they would have seen the first man suddenly grin and wave his arm, and would have seen the older one’s dark eyes light up with a smile, and wave back, and then run forward. The impatience upon both their faces had vanished.
If someone had been at the Domino airport on that particular day, at that particular time, and if they’d just happened to catch a glimpse as the two men reached each other and threw their arms around each other in a close, unrestrained hug, they would have witnessed a seemingly unimportant moment, yet a moment of more beauty than any other. A little glimpse into a love that had met, overcome, and survived every trial of life.
