I feel your pain; I work in a similarly food-deprived area -- lots of things within a few minutes' driving distance, but nothing within walking distance and only a half hour allowed for lunch. I've started buying $3 frozen entrées and sandwich makings at the supermarket and keeping them in the fridge at work. Still working on the veggie part, but I see at least a couple of others there bringing in salads.

And by "Pointless Pepsi" may one assume you mean the variety that has no sugar or caffeine? I agree that is a bit pointless...unless you want the flavor but need to get to sleep and/or lose weight, and thus drink it in the evenings. I take mine with sugar but no caffeine at night.

Actually, I can't have the caffeine, and the "only missing one thing" versions both taste like bad imitations of the real thing.

The pointless stuff tastes *so* different that it actually registers as a different kind of soda, and can thus be good in its own right.
