Poll Do you prefer Bach or Beethoven?

Just out of curiosity...

I am posting the above poll. Please do the poll honestly and fairly. winikoff and I are curious to see whether music preferences correlate to academic abilities in certain areas, and the resultant career choices.

Problem for me is that I LOVE Bach's motets and Brandenburg Concerti, and I LOVE Beethoven's Symphonies. Both composers are in my top 10, both are on my mp3 player. We visited both composers' houses and museums when we were in Germany.

I think I'll put down Bach - only because I enjoy singing Bach much more than I enjoy singing Beethoven, and suspect being in aicsachat this poll will trend towards singing.

If it was orchestral, I'd put down Beethoven, as I enjoy playing Beethoven more than playing Bach. Oh, I need to put the Pastoral Symphony on the CD player now... Bye!

Also re profession, I'm more artist these days than scientist,though that was my degree and what I checked. Artist isn't listed (and is quite distinct from Arts).

I put Arts because I think that's the category that's closest to what I now do... but I have various degrees/qualifications in a number of those categories and am not really sure which one I ought to be in! (Maybe the "I prefer Bach and am bad at deciding what I want to do in life" category?)

I'd have put you in Science, from what I know of what you do. It's tricky, but you're a practicing science researcher - aren't you?

I prefer Beethoven (hard to choose though!!) and am a Science graduate/Law graduate and although I'm a practising lawyer I currently intend to combine the two above qualifications as much as I can.

also I clicked the final option without reading the information under the cut, so if you want to change my poll result to be a law graduate who prefers Beethoven, you are welcome to do so

I'd put you as Law for the final cut then. I probably shouldn't have put all the details under the cut, but have suffered before from pedants and pains-in-the-arse who seem to think that anything longer than three lines should be under a cut - unless it's them posting of course!

Are you happy with being classified as Law?
