not sure if i could watch it but i'll try to keep tab of this new crew...just in case we'll see them in Serie B next year thanks to Cesare's genius idea LMAO
I'm not at all convinced by the ~genius~ idea, tbh -- they tried something similar in the NASL days with Team America and it was a COMPLETE disaster. They ended up folding midseason and there were terrible conflicts with the clubs (not wanting to give up players) and players (at first they said you had to be on Team America to be called up, then had to relent) and LOADS of funding issues. That said, if they can work it out, it'd definitely be cool, I just think it's going to be way more complicated than anyone seems to be admitting.
LOL I can understand why it might end up to be a massive fail, especially when majority of U-21 players already play in serie B or even A. I think it would be an awesome idea, though, to put U-19 & U-17 kids in serie C1/C2.
Yes, it was meant to be a wildly clever play on the fact that he's quite young -- don't worry, I think it's safe to assume no one actually thinks he's 12! ;)
This is true! But he's still the baby of the Azzurrini, esp with his record debut as in infant in the last cycle and all. He could be there for ages and ages, if he doesn't get promoted to play with the big kids ...
