Azzurrini Call-Ups: Alberto + New Keeper Blood

Mar 18, 2011 22:15

(You could say Alberto's pretty stoked to be back.)
Though it's still ages before they play a meaningful match, Ciro's getting his crew together for a whole 10 days to do a lot of training and play friendlies against Sweden (in Reggio Emilia next Thursday) and Germany (in Kassel, a week from Tuesday). Most of the squad have been capped before but there are two new keepers in the team, Inter's Francesco Bardi and Atalanta's Francesco Rossi. In other delightful news, Alberto is back, as is Inter's 12-year-old (give or take) sensation Lorenzo Crisetig.

The full list is as follows:Portieri: Bardi (Inter), Pinsoglio (Esperia Viareggio), Rossi (Atalanta);

Difensori: Biraghi (Inter), Caldirola (Vitesse), Camporese (Fiorentina), Crescenzi (Crotone), Donati (Lecce), Faraoni (Inter), Mori (Empoli);

Centrocampisti: Crisetig (Inter), D’Alessandro (Livorno), Fabbrini (Empoli), Marrone (Siena), Misuraca (Vicenza), Rizzo (Reggina), Romizi (Reggiana), Saponara (Empoli), Soriano (Empoli);

Attaccanti: Borini (Swansea City), Gabbiadini (Cittadella), Macheda (Sampdoria), Paloschi (Genoa).
The team will convene on Sunday and, from there, will spend a whole of time together, only returning home on Wednesday the 30th.

Cesare will release his list for the qualifier against Slovenia and the Ukraine friendly on Sunday, and it's widely rumored that both DDR and Mario could miss out as punishment for their recent idiocy in Europe.
