LOLOL Your icon is AMAZING in this context. &hearts

Have you heard any rumors about how much he's making? Man, I bet it is INSANE. He could be doing a whole lot worse.

LOLOL The first thing I thought of after reading "Dubai", that icon.

Players' salaries are hardly made public, especially if a player is a foreigner. Whatever number they come out with, it's probably triple the amount.

And that team is like, THE JUVENTUS OF DUBAI (and I totally don't mean that in a bad way). The rivals of my hometown club and all ): Still lol, Canna in crazy red. I'd love to see that.

Is the situation there like it was in Quatar when Batigol was there, with the one crazy, over-paid foreign player on the rich clubs? Or is Canna being a ~pioneer~?

lol What does that mean? In a good way, of course? Do they have a tapir in the middle of the back, perhaps? :P Oooh, they wear red? Well that'll be pretty. I bet that's why he went, he remembers looking good in those red Juve kits, back in the day. (There were red ones, right? When the sponsor was a big oval in the middle of the shirt?)

Will you go watch and yell rude things?

Is that the one Zenga's at? *Checks* Ah, no, that's Al-Nassr. Still, I probably know more players/coaches in the Middle East than I do in Britain now.

I <3 you Canna! congelata June 2 2010, 12:58:09 UTC
I am glad a club picked him up.
He seemed to really want to keep playing.
I would rather play in any club, then not play at all.

Although, this means I wont be able to watch him in action :(

This is what I said when he came to Juve last summer:

He brings the team cohesion and the leadership in the back that the Bianconeri have been missing. And he makes Gigi happy.

Cohesion? not
Leadership? hahahahahahaha. Well, yes, if you mean showing the youngsters how to give up when things start to go south. Yes, if you're all about fuck the team what's in it for me.
Happy Gigi? Gigi likes to win. Gigi was not happy this year.

I could have forgiven the inevitable slowing down and loss of form that comes with getting old, but I do not forgive his attitude. Buh bye. Don't let the black and white striped door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Football is a business, but I for one like to be able to preserve the illusion that the players love the money but play because they love the game and love to play. I thought/hoped Cannavaro actually was at least something like the hero he's portrayed to be, but he's shown himself to be purely mercenary, and it hurts to have my expectations shattered so utterly. *goes off to cry a little*

Aw, no. *cuddles* I'm very sorry, that's a miserable realization to have about someone you actually like. At least Gigi, despite having questionable opinions about woman, has stuck around through the shit and seems like he means to continue to do so?
