He somehow hurt his wrist while trying to sit on the bench

....what is this, voodoo? Who turned all our players into glass?

I hope there are no more injuries until the upcoming game. But if there were, then we'd know that it's black magic, for sure.

He somehow hurt his wrist while trying to sit on the bench, thus messing up his whole wrist.
there is something highly amusing here...

but oh dear, get well Rino. Surely, the pain will die down and he will be back sooner rather than later.

bustedflush is telling me he was pushed towards the bench during training. Either way, he really doesn't deserve such an injury. I really do hope it's not as serious as the reports claim.

I don't think anyone deserves such an injury (okay, some players when they dive do, as a reward for their ways, I like that idea) but yes, not deserved, and hopefully, since its not part used in football, he'll not miss any more games than next Italy game.

but that aside, there is a comical edge I can't get past, which makes me feel bad because I adore Rino...I blame too much cartoons.

LOLOLOL I mean .... *pets him* C4 said he did it during the training match -- got nudged into the bench and hit his head and landed on his wrist -- I love the idea that they were trying to make it sound less hilarious/voodoo-related.

Oh, laugh, for I laughed for 5 solid minutes after reading it. Then wondered how Domenech is doing it, then laughed some more. It boggles the mind, though. You can't think of Rino as the one to break so easily, yet he broke in such a... mysterious way.

There was a mention of Matrix and, well, please tell me he can't be sent. He's hurt, isn't he?

I wonder if the problem with France is that Rayray is devoting all his energy (very effectively I might add) to hurting England, rather than to teaching his team to defend set pieces.

Oh no, he's fine -- he played against Samp! But he can only play not-like-a-donkey if he's next to a very calm, solid CB. Canna's sort of ... frantic, isn't he? This doesn't sound like a good plan at all.

I just think it's because his expiration date is three years old, and that he's going senile.

Wait, wait... so this whole injury was caused by someone else? Because this is what it sounds like. I hope it was from the other team, and not another one of his team mates. We can't be having another Chiellini.

Canna is frantic if the defence is being terrible, and if Gigi is having a shouting session at the back. Which means yes, there will be a lot of distractions and I don't think Matrix is up for it just yet.

Oh, this has gone beyond despair. I'm at the "hysterical laughter" phase. Because really, what else fits?

Fucking hell. O.O
Going by this...GGGGGilardino is next. And then the curse will move onto the C's. Watch Canna, Camo, et al.
