Roma's Heartbreak

Feb 28, 2008 11:36

The good news is Totti scored. The bad news is Inter equalized in the 88th minute when the ball magically landed on Zanetti's foot. I couldn't ask anything more from our defense, really-- Juan cleared that ball. That ref, however? I'd rather not pursue the topic any further. Things will get ugly ( Read more... )

LOL @ Mirko sitting there and just yelling "AAAAH AAAAAH *points to Maicon* *wags fingers when he gets up*" [Deki goes emo, too around 42nd?]

There was an aggro moment after freakin' Balotelli kicked my Daniele from behind [like, a REAL kick, ok?] and Ferrari went aggro, and then it was Ferrari v. Maicon. I was exploding.

WEEE the gift, the gift! ♥♥♥ ILUSM! What do you think it is, a fruitcake? It looks like it. Or a shoe.

Did you see versus Samp when he was complaining that he was pushed and he made "pushing gestures" and looked all muppety, Cyclone? LOL [HOENOEZ! Dejan, get away from Cheetos! And why is he patting his face *throws tantrums* >:o]

(lolol *stamps foot* See now I want a cabbage from ~*Julio's Jardin*~)

I can't be bothered to go back and edit this post, but just letting the Romanisti know Cassetti will be out for 20 days and will miss Parma, Real, Napoli and Milan, most likely. He will be back for the derby, however.

On the plus, this means more camera time for Cicinho.

1. Mexes' body got Crespo, I think, but Rosetti was shit all night. Half the fouls on Fra had minimal contact at best (despite all the drama he taught Crespo), the free kick he won from the right before the half was just him falling down, and when DDR went down for Balotelli's card at the end he wasn't touch even slightly (which is why Balotelli flipped).
2. Did Cassetti's shoulder come out? Three weeks isn't horrible (but missed CL is awful), I was worried he broke his collarbone and would be out for months.
3. Conny and I were talking about what a great captain DDR is going to be once Fra is gone. Where was Fra when Mexes was freaking out? Nowhere to be seen! But there was DDR, being all responsible and calming him down.
4. If anyone has a screencap of the way Philou looked at DDR's hand when he put it on his chest to get him away from the ref, I will pay them. That was the hottest thing Romans have ever done.
5. LOL This one looks liked you edited out his ex, or something -- cropped to preserve the pretty ( ... )

1. IDK about Balotelli. I went aggro, so I can't form an objective argument. When DDR went down, the whole team went aggro at Balotelli [then it was T.I. vs. Cyclone. Matty flashed him a sarcastic muppet grin in the end, nngh] and after the final whistle, Perrotta and Tonetto confronted Balotelli about it again, because he came from behind and kneed DDR. [That's what I think I saw, I'm gonna go hunting on YT]
2. Lesion to the left collarbone.
3. ♥ Did you see him arranging the wall? :) Oh, God, but that is his boo!
4. This isn't doing the slash justice, but...

1. On the second replay all I could was maybe a whisper of contact, if that. I figured they just went after Balotelli because he's 17 and a cocky asshole, and they were pissed. (Which are as good reasons as any, really.)
2. What does that mean? Bone bruise? (Not that I really know what that means ... )
3. YES! He was awesome. I love how he just takes charge immediately, without waiting for someone else to do it. (*glares at Fra*)
6. ZIEGLER! &hearts
4. Nnnnnnnnnnnngh. God. Is Dani caressing his face?
8. I saw Mancini getting his jog on, I was panicking.

1. LOL the entire Roma team went aggro because Balotelli messed with the wrong Roman. That is how much DDR is loved ♥
2. I have no idea. They literally just say "lesione clavicola." Hey, we have the shit med staff, k? We can't even deal with a simple flu.
3. As if he needs someone to tell him to take charge :P Control freak, that. ♥
4. Mmmm wait I so have to ransack YT and take more caps to confirm. I, however, vaguely recall Daniele pulling on Mexes' kit and Mexes looking down at his hand, inspecting why the fuck Daniele's touching him there. nnnngh

alright sooo...im a juve fan but since roma was playing inter and i HATE inter i wanted a Roma win just as much as you all did. i was really upset when Mexes got red carded because that "foul" was nothing, there wasnt even contact honestly! grrr im still sooo angry because roma deserved to win that game, they were shooting all kinds of stuff at the inter net but continued to to wide, post, wide, over the net, etc. it was soo sad to watch.. i was hoping you guys would serve inter their first loss, but i guess thats going to have to be our job...ohh well, good game guys, totti looks hot when talking to god...is that bad to say?

Thank you! There was absolutely no contact. Even so, it did not warrant a yellow card! >=0

Yes, they had so many chances! Taddei and the failed lob, Aquilani's triad of screamers, Perrotta's strike saved by Nico! So many close calls!

totti looks hot when talking to god...is that bad to say?
Definitely not. Are you allowed to say that though? Alessa won't get jealous? >:P

Oh, shit, Juventus-Inter!!! That one's going to be full of DRAMAAAA!

*sniffs* It kills me how close we got, all for it to be taken away. Ugh.

I really hoped he was faking because that would mean he's not really hurt. But it turns out, he is, and will be out 3 weeks due to a lesion on his left collarbone. The good news is, you'll get to see more of Cicinho.

I AGREE! That is the best photo-- Chivu on the ground. >:p

THAT WAS HIM, TOO?! ADRIANO'S DIVE THAT SAW HIM SUSPENDED!!! Now tell me it is coincidence!!! Why aren't Roma appealing this red card?! SO FUCKING GUTLESS.

You know, I never had delusions of grandeur of Roma winning scudetto. But it would've been nice to cut the lead to six, and I knew it was not impossible to beat Inter. They were without their stars, and they were fatigued-- it was just the best opportunity to beat them, and we didn't. So *sigh*

Actually, 20 days, which is a day less than 3 weeks :P But, yes, I do hope it's an overestimation and that he can recover ahead of the anticipated date. I mean, just look at Mancini and Juan, who was supposed to be out for longer, but he's doing better, so yay!

=]

LOLOL I hear you, and see who you're looking at-- our friends way up North, yes? Well, they still feel they are being penalized for calciopoli. I'm all for complaining. Perhaps it would knock some sense into stupid officiating.

Probably, we're masochists.
Which is why Roma is my rightful team, God damn me.

I'm still looking forward to the rest of the season though. We seem to picking up momentum (Fra, Taddei, Simone regaining match fitness), while they're losing players to injury. We'll see how it goes from here.
