So there is this band, called the wonder years, and they're putting out a 7" record entitled "Distances." It's about being far from the one's you truly care about. It got me thinking

I'm kind of glad I just have this little piece of distance.

i just wanted out. so i ran as far as i could without paying out of state tutition, and still being in civilization. didn't think it'd be a big deal. and in all reality i still hate going home. i just wish i could have brought a person or 2.

i got the best of both worlds--i don't live at home, and when i do go home i can leave whenever i want and have some place of my own to stay, but when i want to go visit people, they're 45 minutes away.

i guess being three hours away realllllly puts into perspective who cares enough about you to come see you. like, i've had some friends come out here more than my own parents.
