LJ, Must I Quit You?

I'm loath to quit my LJ since I shelled out like $300 for a permanent account long ago. Plus, I don't think dreamwidth cross-posts to FB, and I still sometimes hope people might be following along. I've kind of lost track of friends after quitting FB, and that upsets me

It is sad that the politicians around the world are making the social networks a place of their interests and fights with eatch other as they previously did with TV filling it with their propaganda, restrictions, brainwashing advertisement making watching TV absolutely useless. So seeing such things starting happening with the Internet make me annoyed incredibly.
If all the English speaking people will leave LJ Putin and Medvedev could write each other how honest they are...
I am thinking also to stop all activity in Internet, not because I am afraid it will be dangerous for me or impossible to do something but because it is obvious that we are posting, spending time in Internet at any moment could be cut out of everything we and our friends did. It could happens as at Facebook as at any other part of Internet, so I am thinking is it worth to spend my time at Internet at all maybe it will be much worthy to spend more time on my site for a change... I still thinking...

See, my problem is that I don't have a lot of friends where I live locally. Most of my friends are internet friends. Or RL friends and family that I've moved away from. I have to be online to keep any good connection with humanity.

I don't know how bad US tv has gotten lately. I watch everything online anymore. Skips all the political ads and I avoid the BS news stations as much as possible. I guess the internet keep me informed in that department too. So far. I sincerely hope that never changes.
