I'm counting The Complete Idiot's Guide to Managing Your Money (4th Edition) as a “book that scares you” for my yet-unfinished 50 Book Challenge. Anything math scares me, and finances scare me lately in a personal way.

I like Idiot's Guide books as well. Just enough info but I don't feel like I'm drowning in useless detail.

This one did seem to have some of that, but maybe it was just too outdated &/or stuff didn't apply to me.

IG books are the best!
