Ellie had been putting away the pitcher of juice she'd just poured a drink from when she saw Chuck coming over to her. She smiled back, but it quickly faded at what she said next.

"What's the matter?" she asked, her drink already forgotten. Her friend's tone was worried enough for her to worry too. She couldn't help it. "Did something happen?"

"Oh no."

Shaking her head, Chuck felt a bit guilty for coming off a bit on the alarmist side. It had sounded a bit stronger than she would have liked, but worry had a way of doing that to a person for the better or the worse.

"I think I'm sick, well I know I'm sick but I don't know with what. Aches and pains, throwing up, sudden aversion to pie, that sort of thing. So I was wondering if maybe you could help me out?"

"Oh, of course," she said. Standing in the middle of the kitchen seemed a bad place to do a check-up, however, so she picked up her drink and gestured toward the door. "Do you want to go to the clinic and sit?"

"Could we? I don't want to put anyone off their food by staying here."

Though the big comfy arm chair did look rather inviting, Charlotte Charles did still have the sense to want to sit down elsewhere. The clinic was certainly suited for these sorts of things. Taking a step towards the door, she nodded. "Yes, I like that idea."
