There's a knock on the door, and a soft voice calls, "Kim?"

Kim is on her back staring at the ceiling. She doesn't notice the knock.

Nita takes a chance and tries the knob -- it's unlocked. She opens the door and calls in.

"Kim? It's Nita. You awake?"

After his chat with Sara, Jack heads up to Kim's room, hoping she's awake. From what Ryan said the night before about how she'd taken the news, and from what he saw when eh came down, he's worried about her.

He knocks on her door. "Kim? Can I come in?"

There's no answer, which worries him. He opens the door a little and looks in. "Kim?" She's staring at the ceiling, which isn't a good sign, and his stomach does a small flip-flop as he walks in.

Someone else is in the room. She recognizes the breathing and the voice but she can't respond.

Chase hasn't slept all night, but when he drags himself out of bed in the morning, he finds himself at Kim's door, which he opens without knocking. "Kim?" he says, almost pleadingly.

Nita also wants to check up on him, er, Ryan maybe - but Bridget won't be back for another 10-15 min at least. Chase probably but I have no idea about Jean's schedule. Romana was on her way to find Ray to go travelling but she decides perhaps instead of just leaving a note, she ought to find Kim and say goodbye.

She knocks politely on Kim's door and waits.

Romana has no way of knowing that Kim is in a slightly less than able to talk to people right now state. However, if Kim was in an able to talk to people state she would say goodbye to Romana and hope to see her again soon.

But she is unable to answer the door right now.

Ah well. Romana would understand if Romana knew.

As it is, Romana assumes Kim isn't there. Then pulls a bag of jelly babies out of her coat pocket and a small stuffed toy raccoon out of another and leaves them by the door with a tag that says "For Kim."
