Tonight's TV...

Was wonderful. How cool is it that I now get to look forward to Monday nights for something other than Monday Night Football?

Cut for those who have the misfortune not to have seen Chuck, Heroes, or Journeyman yet. )

dare to be bad, worldcon, chuck, heroes, television

I haven't been overly enthused about Chuck, but tonight's episode may have turned that around. I really enjoyed it. Adam Baldwin really is kind of channelling Jayne here, isn't he? He has that gleam in his eyes..
Awww, Hiro! he is like Jiminy Cricket! lol. I agree with you about the romance bit; a little is fine, but everybody doesn't need to get paired up.
Nichelle Nichols looks amazing, doesn't she?

Oh, my goodness, she looked fabulous.

Adam is channelling Jayne a little, I think, but he's a smarter, savvier Jayne, not quite the Neanderthal we grew to know and love in Firefly.

Also, I've been meaning to say this for a really long time: I LOVE THAT ICON. It is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen in its surrealness.

Yeah, he's Jayne gone to college, lol.
I love this icon too; the art work is by ursulav, I just added the text. Have you seen her work? She is really quite wonderful.

There hasn't been real indication of specific powers being genetic, as we've only just now seen even any replication of powers, with Claire and Kensei separated by about 400 years - as well as West's Peter Pan-esque flying differing a little from Nathan's Turbo!Flying. But what has mainly convinced me that West isn't in any way related to Claire is that they've officially kissed now, and having actual incest on the show, albeit inadvertent and about as chaste as a romantic relationship can get so far without sticking to plain old hugging, still seems like a line they wouldn't be willing to cross. Even LOST has the technicality of Boone and Shannon being step-siblings.

Um, Claire in the horrible horrible painting THAT IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAPPEN - is somebody kissing her there? Because, um. That's effed up, and I hope I was looking at it wrong and it was just someone talking to her or something.

This is what we have fanfiction for.
Sentiments. Exactly. Something I found vaguely cool about last season was the lack of many romantic ( ... )

Man, I can't wait until the Hubby gets home so I can watch this ep again.

Maybe they should toss us a bone about the already-canon ships that went astray, like Matt/Janice and Nathan/Heidi...

I've got a freeze-frame up of that part of the painting, and it does look like they're kissing...but it also could be someone forcing her to go someplace, which is how I interpreted it the first time I saw it. Hard to say--but I'm betting we'll find out. AUGH.

I'm growing increasingly upset about the lack of explanation for where the wifeys went. D: I wasn't OVERLY attached to them, but dude, things like that don't just go away. I mean, Matt's divorced, but what about his baby? WHERE IS IT.

Perzactly! Although it's only been, what, five weeks, maybe eight now? So, she'd still be pregnant, right? And didn't Heidi get healed by Linderman? What's up with her now? I WANT TO KNOW.

I forgot about the Bonsai tree! That was awesome too! LOL! I love, love, LOVE how they're letting Adam Baldwin totally ROCK his thing. LOL! And that "appliance" thrown at the villain's head was a microwave. LOL!

I just loved the way he sort of flinched and snipped off that teeny little branchlet EVER SO CAREFULLY OMG. That was hilarious.

LOL! Yeah, I didn't expect to see that in the montage as the 3 of them were getting ready for their spy mission. LOL! That's one of the many reasons why I love this show. It doesn't take itself too seriously. ;)

Haven't seen Chuck yet. That's slated for after Bible study tonight. So I skipped to Heroes!

I'm so worried Hiro is making a huge mistake by staying. Cyrano must run off into the sunset or this will all end in tears.

I like DL much better than Nikki so I'm thoroughly bummed. I wondered the same thing when I read Nichelle's name in the credits. That would be cool!

I don't like West at all. Especially since he's jeopardizing a relationship I'm massively invested in. Claire and her father.

Get better soon!

You know...sometimes you need to take a step back to take two steps forward. *tempts you with the Dark Side*
