It is extremely implausible that RHO would pitch a heart from Q10xx when he had all those clubs.

It's very implausible that he would pitch hearts, period, because if he has three small he increases the likelihood that I will drop the Q. I'm not sure it's much of an inference.

This was a person at the club that I'd never met, which usually means bad player. Maybe in this case he thought his heart was a diamond.

Yes, but some bad players arent smart enough to think that far ahead =) but they can tell that baring their honors is bad.

By "extremely implausible" I mean that if RHO started with Q108x then he has a guaranteed heart trick unless he pitches one, so he would never pitch one.
