The lads always look amazing, the partnership is just sublimely smooth and gorgeous and enthralling to watch, the stories get consistently good enough that I don't often have any problems

I do like Cowley's big speech, and the clear passion and conviction behind it, although a big part of me agrees with Geraldine's point: just because he believes it doesn't make it so.
Certainly there's a big issue here, one of the few recurrent threads in Pros, relating to Cowley's accountability - supposedly represented here through the appearance of the Minister. I do think you're right to point out that Bodie and Doyle aren't really required to think, Cowley decides their morality - it's the only way such an organisation could properly function. But then, someone has to keep an eye on Cowley's ethics. (Shades of 'In the Public Interest')

I do think you're right to point out that Bodie and Doyle aren't really required to thinkThey have to think for themselves up to a certain point - Certainly they have to keep control over their own morals and ethics about what they are doing and Ray, at least, knows he can't go around acting like a barbarian.
