Ah, Airwolf. I love Archangel, because Alex Cord rocks. :) Plus, he had it going on with his cane and white suits and post-wounding angst. Good times, good times.

And let's not forget David Hemmings in the first episode! The biggest mistake they made was killing off that character. What a psycho - perfect nemesis. He went on to direct quite a bit, so maybe they didn't want him to get too much in control of the thing by letting him have a reoccurring role as well. Actually, am I making this up in my own head, or do they bring back the character later...? Hmm. I'm only half way through season one ( ... )

Good point re: David Hemmings!

Now I need to revisit an old zine I like that crosses Airwolf with The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (what was the title? *sigh*). It ages Napoleon and Illya correctly in real time (as fiftysomethings) and gives both of them, plus String and Dom, key moments to shine. My favorite part, though, is the Archangel/Marella plot, which really satisfies (though not without banging up Archangel first, which works for me, since I'm a one of those "always hurt the fictional ones you love" gals). All that's to say I agree with your criticisms of the show. Thank heavens for fanfic. :)

Hey, keep your laws off my body! I'm an American, dammit.

I really didn't want to freak anyone out with my ideas about her... ;-)

LMAO!! Wow, I really did NOT envision anything like that going on in Good Neighbors. At least you didn't mention that goat....(They're VERY good neighbors, heh heh heh...)

Was Penelope Keith Jerry's wife? I like her despit all teh catty and mindless characters she plays. ::grin:: I can imagine I could have some sore of fantasy...no, I can't Sorry. ;O Can't bring myself to it.

A couple of checks...did you like any brit comedy, meaning allo allo (that Rene was a hottie, rowr! and Lt. Gruber wasn't bad either, though he didn't swing my way), and I really like Chef! too. Lenny Henry is pretty hot himself. And third...I always liked Waiting for God. Diana in that was fantastic, so cantankerous. So...touching at times. I wish my mother had been more like her. Much more like her.

the goat OK, now you've squicked me - even I have my limits. Ick.

The last episode I watched last night had a delightful sequence where Tom accused Margo of enjoying his getting firm with her - "Admit it - you like to be dominated... Your cheeks flushed responsively." :::heh heh::: Still haven't reached the wife-swapping episode - must be on the fourth disk.

I love Jerry's laugh - delightful, slightly dirty. Yes, PK is Margo-his wife. She's great - loved her in everything she did - she was really working hard there for a while and had several hit shows.

I was at the mercy of what our local PBS station aired most of my life and never caught Allo Allo or the others... I'll have to see if our library has the tapes and check them out.
