After fleeing the library, Yomiko dashed home and into her basement apartment...which had an inch of water and rising on the floor. As was her wont, Yomiko opened up the library on time and took up her usual post behind the collections desk.

Then she started rereading the Barry Plodder at Wizard School books, in anticipation of the Plodderdammerung in July. Yes, she plans to read all six today. She reads fast.

Yomiko straightened up before opening up the library and taking up her post behind the collections desk to answer any library-related questions or concerns the parents might have. She's helpful like that.

Yomiko took her copy of The Iliad out to the porch to read. It was all so terribly romantic and doomed. Poor Patroclus. Passersby might occasionally hear her emit heartfelt sighs as she reached a particularly moving passage.

At first glance, the room seemed like it contained nothing but furniture and books, stacked haphazardly on every semi-horizontal surface. Some of the books had even fallen over, forming a large pile on the bed. But if one looked closely, they could see the outline of a human form on the bed, under the books.
