I am pissed

Aug 23, 2008 14:52

OK, I'm going to rant here because right now I am really pissed at so called Democrats.  I know it may lead to me getting flamed, but right now, I don't really care.  I am DISGUSTED by the number of Hillary supporters who are either voting for McCain or say they are undecided.  I am disgusted by the number of them who are bitching about Joe Biden's ( Read more... )

Seriously, I've had a horrible feeling since the start of this year that McCain would win in November, and the division in the Dem part really doesn't give me any true hope.

Oh yeah. There are an awful lot of feminists who seem to believe the way to further the cause it to get McCain elected in order to "punish" democrats so they will be forced into anointing Hillary Clinton the nominee in 2012.

I cannot understand this thinking in any way.

Exactly. Yes, there were times during the primaries I was so disgusted at Clinton I considered not voting for her.

But I am not an idiot. I know a Democrat in the White House is better than getting the Republicans in there AGAIN.

WORD. In my family, my mom is okay, even though she preferred Clinton -- she got over it and realized that McCain is far worse than Obama, even if she isn't crazy about him. However, my step-mom (dad's fiance) says she won't vote for McCain but she might not vote for anyone now. Of course we're in MA, so it probably won't make a difference, but still.

My mom felt similarly. She voted for Clinton, but she will vote for Obama.

On a different subject: you're in MA? Where at? Perhaps we can meet up sometime.

Southborough! My major problem at the moment is transportation. We're out in the boonies and I don't drive. My dad wants to get me on his insurance and teach me -- I already have my license but I have no experience so I need to practice -- but I'm not likely to be any good for a few months. In October I may go live with my mom in Malden for a while, which would make transportation easier since I could take the T.

Excuse my ignorance, but where is Southborough? I live out in western MA, in Springfield, and I have my own car. If you're ever itching to get out and about, I can always take a day trip on the weekend.

I really don't understand why grown adults are treating the election process like a fandom shipping war. They want to screw over your own future and everyone else's over their personal OTP.

Yeah, that about sums it up. It's like the crazy Harmonians who insist that Harry and Hermione belong together and believe the author betrayed the characters SHE CREATED by pairing Hermione and Ron.

Ha, that's perfect. And yeah, I don't really get it either. Even if I wouldn't have LOVED Hillz being president, after the crummy way she ran her campaign, I would have voted for her WITH RELISH. I certainly wouldn't have ( ... )
