No, I won't kill you for talking a lot about this post - I'm actually glad people are reading my stuff hahaha. I sometimes get a little self-indulgent when writing, but then again I suppose that's what blogs are for. It's a bonus when you find out that people are willing to hear you out and/or feel the same way ( ... )

glad to find people who share the same interests!

I got my copy of "letters from iwo jima" in japan, in a second-hand bookshop - I haven't seen the english-dubbed version, but I'm sure it sounds weird as hell. also because the story is clearly meant to be in japanese - language helps create the atmosphere as much as everything else. the same happens with books translations sometimes, no matter how good the translator.
I also discovered nino in "stand up!" when I had no clue as to who "arashi" was. so my early image of him is not related to arashi at all and that makes it easier to detach him from the group at times. the five of them have a very special way of relating to each other when they're together - they become sort of an entity: arashi. consequently, the reasons I like them as a group and as individuals tend to differ ^_^

I think this absolves us both from death penalty. :3
