YUM! I love gumbo! I haven't made it in years either. Hmmm...I had planned ratatouille for the weekend, but now...

Thanks!, but the idea was unabashedly stolen from one of yours. :) I did have to stand on a chair to get the right angle and light to bring out the depth.

Damn you. Now I want gumbo, too. And (1) I haven't made it since 2005 or so, and (2) it took several hours longer than I'd want to wait for supper tonight.

I think you had that gumbo recipe in Indiana. I remember carting it in an ice chest all the way from North Carolina.
