True, but indie authors hopefully get paid a miniscule amount of money for their efforts, whereas fanfic writers don't (unless you're officially writing tie-in material, in which case I a) salute you and b) am jealous of you with every fiber of my being because *I* want to write fanfic for money *pout*).

I'm more wanting to beat her with a heavy, blunt object because I am potentially going to be in such a position someday, whereas if she was a fanfic writer, it wouldn't bother me much because I honestly don't give a crap. Her critics would have been a LOT more visceral had it been fandom-related.

And that's about all you can really do. The part that absolutely KILLS me, is that even after people have out-right stated that actual publishers lurk on those blogs (and one anon person implying they WERE one of those publishers) she still had to shove her foot further down her throat and continue her tirade agianst the "Evil Reviewers, zomg!"

Even *I* know, despite not having stuck my foot firmly in the publishing door yet, that ALL PUBLISHERS TALK TO EACH OTHER and that royally screwing up with one gets you black-listed by everyone.

Idiot.
