Something really wondrous happened yesterday. My best friend told me she borrowed The Hobbit from the library. Now, we have been friends forever, but she much prefers non-fiction, biographies and such, and refused to even consider reading Tolkien

It's exciting isn't it? Over the years I have introduced a few RL friends to unexpected books that meant a lot to me, and I was always torn between excitement and the fear that they just wouldn't get it. **grin**
