Something really wondrous happened yesterday. My best friend told me she borrowed The Hobbit from the library. Now, we have been friends forever, but she much prefers non-fiction, biographies and such, and refused to even consider reading Tolkien.

I tell you - I cannot wait till she reads it - I'm on my knees hoping she will love it and perhaps we'll just saunter off into lala land talking of elves and dwarves and men...... *happy sigh*
