I heard the GRE described as ACT/SAT on Steroids lol. I'll be taking the doozey in a year. I love your summer plan. Please DO comment on the books as you read them. I am reading "This Much I Know is True"< just began it.
The books in the bath thing would make a doozey patent. Maybe we'll see it on American Inventor,

I took the GRE once already, but I didn't study and I did miserably. My GPA dropped this semester, so I really need something to boost my application, as I'll be applying to (more) grad programs.
I've wanted to read "This Much I Know is True" for awhile, but I know it's going to be very, very triggering.

The books in the bath thing I guess would basically be laminating all the pages or something. But it would be hard to read and wash simultaneously. Probably easier to bring a stereo in the bathroom, or right outside, and put on a book on tape.

That is one sexy icon!

okay missie... i finished reading the entire Book "this much i know is true" a few weeks ago...and left the review posted on my LJ> and i thought about your comment in here. yes...it will trigger...and the END will make you cry. It is the strangest mixture of emotions I have ever felt...repelled, sickened, relieved, and cleansed....if you do pick it up, read it rapidly.

I just wanted to enjoy the cleansing part of it. Usually I find reading in the bath to be a bit uncomfortable.

What position do you read in when in the bath?

I've seen only one water-proof book: a collection of erotica about sex that somehow involved water, from beach sex to shower sex.

I haven't had a bath in an uber-long time. our bath tub is disgusting.

Not so much what I was thinking, but an obvious solution.

That's sad. Break out the bleach?

The only book I've ever bought at Toys in Babeland was a waterproof book of water-centered erotica. It hadn't occurred to them that to otherwise occupy the mind during the bath might deflect its sensual value.

I think the idea was to use it to masturbate in the bath. But I agree, it deflects rather than enhances.
