Peter closes his eyes and visualizes the location Elle's given him; then, in a flash, he's there. He opens his eyes and scans his surroundings. The emptiness presses down on his chest, as does an exhaustion too deep to describe. It's when he senses this - senses it and searches for it source - that he finds Elle. She's sitting cross-legged on the ground, sparks jumping from one hand to the other. He approaches her slowly. She's obviously not as entirely impervious to other people's suffering as she claims to be; it clearly hurt her to walk through the wasteland.
"Hey, pretty," Elle says, taking the hand Peter's just offered her and getting to her feet. She hopes that her immense relief at seeing him does not show. She doesn't like to be vulnerable like that. Then again, Peter senses emotions, so there isn't much she can do about it. "It took you long enough," she says. "I hear that there's a cure now."
"Yeah," Peter responds. "Yeah, we do have a cure, so it's safe for you to go back." Relief is emanating off of Elle in waves; he also feels an affection that he wasn't aware Elle could feel, directed at him. Maybe this walk really has changed her. "Should I take you to Bennet's place, then?" Peter asks.
"That'd be cool, yeah." Elle feels the cold, icy feeling within her dissipate as she thinks of what awaits her there. She'll see Mr. Bennet, who took her in; more importantly, she'll see Claire. It's been far too long. Elle steps closer to Peter and puts an arm around his waist. "So, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"

"Elle," he says softly. "Are you ready to go?"
