What: Elle's Return
She doesn't feel anything. She used to, she thinks. She used to feel something - sadness, maybe, or, more commonly, anger - when she looked upon the wasteland before her. But she's tired now, too tired to feel. She just wants to return home. She just wants to see another living human's face, feel another person's skin brush up against her own, hear a friendly voice. Hell, she'd even take an unfriendly voice, at this point.
Elle glances at her surroundings with glazed eyes. She's in Peckham, Colorado. It was a small town, but there used to be life in it; now death - its stillness, its smell - pervades everything. Elle presses her hands together; as she pulls them apart, she forces a current to run from one hand to the other. It calms her, centers her. Peter's going to come soon. Peter's going to come soon, and he's going to take her home to Bennet's place. He's going to take her home to the Bennet's place, and to Claire.
