I love prose! I'm like a really cheap date when it comes to pretty pretty words they make me so freaking easy. That being said, there aren't a lot of fandoms where the quality of writing is so good that I can talk about style like this. ♥

For some reason I hallucinate Samwise Gamgee saying it to, oh, Gollum or somebody: "Now don't you try to hornswoggle me!" :D

Me too. A fic can be really quite ridiculous -- or be for something I really don't ship -- and I'll still read the whole thing if the prose is gorgeous.

Of course for "hornswoggle" it'd be pretty ridiculous for it to show up in a Supernatural fic I think - unless! Unless Crowley was saying it for something! And he is someone who deals in deals...
