In 1962, Thomas Kuhn wrote The Structure of Scientific Revolution, and fathered, defined and popularized the concept of "paradigm shift." Kuhn argues that scientific advancement is not evolutionary, but rather is a "series of peaceful interludes punctuated by intellectually violent revolutions", and in those revolutions "one conceptual world view is replaced by another

well my hat goes off to you. i am impressed at your views and the information you site to back them. Wish more people gave active thought to such things.
Overall, the scenery, set decoration, and costuming were quite evocative of the time and setting of the play. All of the actors were absolutely flawless! Their lines were confident and polished. And their diction was clear and lyrical. The blocking was well-balanced and always easy to appreciate. And, most of all, I have to say that all of the philosophical conversations between the characters were absolutely convincing. Vivian's tortured struggles with situational ethics were definitely believable... I was right there with her, twisting and turning the ideas around in my conscience -- an excellent portrayal of inner turmoil: bravo
