On Tuesday the temperature climbed 25 C or 77 F! Today.... it was still well above freezing but the temperatures aloft were much colder and we got snow flurries! Not surprising, this is Alberta and it is only May but so not what I was expecting. The flurries didn't last long and melted as soon as they touched the ground. I think the original audience was teens. They are not great classics by any stretch but they do paint a picture of the effects of war on young people. I'm not sure the books would have had the same emotional impact on me if I hadn't seen the movie first.
