I think it was the summer right after I finished chemo (2006) that I remember seeing lots of dragonflies. I know that I was amazed at how many there were. The dragonflies are back again this summer in big numbers, probably due our huge mosquito population. (it's one of their primary food sources) They are beautiful to look at and I'm always sad ( Read more... )

That must be a sight to see. We don't see them here in large numbers, actually not many are around this year at all. I hope they give you an awesome show this year.

That's funny.. I just saw a couple in our backyard yesterday. Good to know that they eat mosquitos.

I'd like to have a lot more around, we have so many mosquitoes this year.

I will try to get pictures, but they are fast and I'm not much of a photographer.
