snow day

It snowed through the night and all day Wednesday. It's been snowing on and off this evening. I had to shovel the back door area three different times so that I could take the dogs out. Maggie didn't seem phased by the wind or the deep snow. Sophie and Teddy however were not impressed. Trips outside for them were brief to say the least ( Read more... )

Thank you, the photo with the a star and three antique brads is a little blurry. I have to remind myself to control my breathing when taking pictures just like I did when I was in the military and on the firing range.

Thank you. It's a busy time of year. I'm trying to keep things a little more simple this year but there is still lots to do. I'm not stressed...yet.

Thank you. Starting digging out today. Thankfully it wasn't too cold and there was no wind. I didn't go anywhere as the roads in our rural subdivision haven't been plowed and it's very difficult to tell where the road ends and ditch begins.

Those blocks are lovely. You obviously are quite talented and likely very patient.

Our little area has been lucky enough to avoid the snow (so far) but the roads to the west of us have been closed right up to the Saskatchewan border.

Thank you.
Roads have opened up and slowly improving. I hope you don't get hit with the snow like we did.

I like the blocks, too. Very beautiful.

I hope hubby makes it home safely. It never hurts to wait when in doubt.

I imagine the snow is difficult for the little dogs.

Stay warm!

Hubby is home safe and sound. I shovel an area for the little dogs so that they don't get lost in the snow. Surprisingly they wander around the deeper snow, usually in trails blazed by Maggie. Teddy and Sophie don't mind the snow but really don't like the cold weather.
Have a great weekend.
