Thanks! I don't think there are enough HL/Merlin crossovers but the muses don't always co-operate.

I have written 2 others and I think this fits in the same universe as them - If Only and Sometimes and Brothers in Arms.

Oh, I've read those before. I loved those two fics but I don't think I remembered to comment on them, so I'll do it here. Those two were so great. I reallly like this verse and I absolutely agree with you that there are not enough HL/Merlin fics around and it's always so great to read some

I really like young Gaius, I can easily see the older man there too, and see this younger man in the Gaius we see on screen.

Ooo loved this, because of course Gaius would have to have met Methos when he was young, and because wandering around meeting herbalists and magicians is so Methos.

I hope you write more of these...I liked all three. Did you write the father one before the whole Balinor thing? Just curious.

Dangit, I wish I still had my Duncan icon. What's funny is that I'm watching Dramatic License on Syfy right now lol. I tune in any night they're showing it that I'm not workign early, unless it's an ep I don't like...I can't stand most of season 6, or the last s5 ep.

If not for the whole finding Balinor thing, I could almost see a story with Hunith having found Merlin...*sigh*

Good to know you've enjoyed them all. As for the Balinor thing that fic was written about 3 weeks before The Last Dragonlord aired so it still kind of fits in, not that I'm too bothered about sticking with TV canon - it's a crossover, they're AU by their very nature.

I hear you on liking/not liking Highlander S6 - we called S6 Season Sux for a reason at the time of broadcast. Having said that one of my fave eps in the series is from S6 - Indiscretions - and I also loved the ep without Duncan - Two of Hearts. As for Duncan icons, this is the only one I have.

I didn't care for ToH (that was actually retooled for the pilot of The Raven btw) but Indescretions is cool.

Do you post at the official board? I do on occasion, I'm DuncansLass. But not like when I was watching new-to-me eps on Spike :(
