They want them to be happy, or at least they don't want to be responsible for making them unhappy.
HA!

yeah that'd be our life too. except dan does the money. i dont care about bills or budgeting or how to handle the money. he does the bills and stuff, i do the daily maintenance shopping :)

Matt used to do a lot of the grocery shopping, simply because it was on his way home, and he's the cook. Since we moved out here I handle the majority of it, since SAM's is so much closer now, and the WalMart is there as well. When we're being good (money wise) 90% of our stuff comes from those two stores, very little is truly grocery store only...

I've pretty much ALWAYS handled the bills/banking, to the point that I did a brain dump a few months ago (in case I die or something) so that he would know what all of the automated transfers and payments and such are for... :)

he's the cook! lucky you! although i like cooking so it doesn't bother me :) we've started making menus for the week so we know what to shop for. it's helped keep costs down while buying healthy food because we dont waste much.

and we almost NEVER go to the grocery store unless we need something nice. otherwise we always go to walmart. it's like half the price.

dan wants to do a similar brain dump, but i dont have room in my head. so he bought quicken and is amazed by it. i still dont know how to do it though...but it makes him feel better...

I'm so glad he does the cooking. I bake. Occasionally. From a box. :)

I dumped the bank info into a file and showed him where it was - he'd never remember...
