No, I don't have to answer the phone, and people rarely talk to me normally either, but still I'm not allowed to listen to music, because that's the rules, because this building is full of lame motherfuckers. I don't know if you experienced something similar, but it seems to me that the Japanese love to chain themselves to stupid rules without really thinking about them. And yes, stories about dealing with awful people are always welcome, I enjoy commiserating. I think it's hardest when you're in close quarters with someone and you're not allowed to say anything to anyone about how much they bother you. (And though I didn't have to answer the phone for work, I did have to answer cell phone calls from Japanese a good bit in the beginning, and that was always nerve-wracking for me too, so I feel your pain ( ... )

Yes. I mean, I admit my internship in America was very short and that company doesn't represent all other companies, but I was never scolded about my clothes, and the only time I wasn't allowed to listen to music was when a high-up guy was visiting the office one day. The rest of the time, as long as no one was likely to need to talk to me, it was fine. I didn't like working there much either, but at least I didn't feel like I was constantly being forced to forgo everything that was going to help me stay sane. I wonder a little bit what I'm going to be like when I get home, because as many awesome things I got to do here, there's still so much I feel I've been missing out on because of work getting in my way ( ... )

Why do you dislike that co-worker? 3:

Is price the main reason why you didn't take the train? omg I hate taking coaches SO MUCH here. Trains are so much nicer, especially first class ;o;

And what movie did you see? :P

Oh, where do I start... it'd be a lot easier to talk about it via IM or something, but long story short, he is SERIOUSLY bad at reading people, and he just always manages to talk to me in a way or say things that make me extremely uncomfortable, and there's no way to make him stop. He also has a tendency, even more than others do, to ask me questions that have no good answer in front of a lot of other people. Everything about him is obnoxious, even when he isn't talking to me, so I just hear him talking, and I'm like, "GOD I HATE THAT GUY. >:E"

well, that, and if I want to get any sleep, the bus is better for me because I don't have to transfer anywhere, and the bus drivers will make sure you get off at the end, so I don't have to worry about missing my stop. I can't go to sleep and wake up in minutes like most people can, so riding the train overnight isn't practical for me. And if I take it during the day, I have to pay for that plus lodging for the night, so... yeah, no. ^_^;

Inception. It was good. ^_^b
