Yes. I mean, I admit my internship in America was very short and that company doesn't represent all other companies, but I was never scolded about my clothes, and the only time I wasn't allowed to listen to music was when a high-up guy was visiting the office one day. The rest of the time, as long as no one was likely to need to talk to me, it was fine. I didn't like working there much either, but at least I didn't feel like I was constantly being forced to forgo everything that was going to help me stay sane. I wonder a little bit what I'm going to be like when I get home, because as many awesome things I got to do here, there's still so much I feel I've been missing out on because of work getting in my way.

I can't wait to trade stories!

lol, yeah, they always wanted me to sing something in English, and though I still stubbornly stuck with Japanese songs most of the time, I did whip out some really lame stuff from the 80s, like seriously cheesy lyrics and everything, and they loved it. XDDDD (I'm not dissing it, I love 80s stuff, but I know if English speakers had been there and listened to the words they would have been like WTF.)

Have you ever watched Ouran High School Host Club? Whenever I think about takarazuka I think of the episode where the club dresses up in takarazuka costumes for Haruhi. XD That was when I said to myself, "I have GOT to see that for real someday!" I'm glad I did. <3

haha, sometimes. that one sounds pretty good. I got mostly annoying things like the "niku niku" song in the meat section of the grocery store. I also suffered from a "Banana King" jingle they played near the bananas on repeat at a different store. It was fine the first ten times and then it became unbearable. I remember wanting to stab myself when it got stuck in my head at work one day, it was terrible...
