Good Ghod this is spectacular!

The first thing you did on Pegasus was try to go home.

I mean, there are so many moments that are just blindingly bright. I particularly love the way you do so much in so few words. I'm a sucker for efficiency in prose and you have mastered it. Finding Cain's humanity (her exhaustion after the battle), Laura's weakness, and Kara's desperate longing (for love, for home, for any connection at all) in so few lines is just...breathtaking and brilliant.

I love this series. I'd rec it again, but...okay, maybe I'll rec it again. :)

Thank you! I'm a sucker for nice Cain and sad teenage Kara (Starbuck's Creek, tm projectjulie). And thanks for the (re)rec!

it's possible I'm not entirely objective. because my favorite thing about this story is how it (dare I say "pays homage"?!?) interlocks so closely with my first fic. yaaaaaaay!

my other favorite thing is Cain. well, her and Starbuck, who is a little lost baby butch. but your Cain *scares* me, because she's so frakkin nice! so opposite to my Cain (supertop!), but then it forces you to consider what it takes for a basically good person to do horrific things -- which is chilling.

she was wondering if maybe you would wait, be patient just a little longer, if maybe you would let her sleep a while

OH EM GEEEEEEE. amazing.

it is going to be such a mindfrak for me to write the Cain round, now. she's totally still raping Gina!

now I'm going to quote you back a bunch more lines. so many zingers!

"We're all friendlies," you said, because you believed it.

oh, SNAP. that burns.

He would have just told you to kill her. Laura wrote you a frakking lyric.*DIES* it's so brilliant and tidy! I put the poetry back in at the end, in ( ... )

And then having long heart-to-hearts! I don't even remember what I'm writing for the Cain round, I'm looking forward to yours so much.

he idea that Kara finds her dead, because they had a date to finally get sexed up, just slays me!

I know. Poor Cain. Poor Kara. I would cry so hard. I miss her. :( She's not a bad person!

So we're voting for Cain in the next round, right? Mmm...Cain.

actually, I voted for D'anna, since now I'm all inspired about her. but I'm also inspired about Cain/Gina! I predict we're going to get Boomer. I have no idea what you're writing for the Cain round either (you said you wanted more Cain/Roslin), but I'm sure that, in my infinite wisdom, I can figure it out.

Didn't we discuss mine at the diner? I'll have to consult my notes. There was something about future POV and Cain's funeral.

God. you totally own me when you write this fandom.

you've written possibly my most favorite Cain of all time. Julie's right in that she's so nice, so human. so much more interesting and real than how most others write her.

and your Starbuck. oh, boy am I a fan your Starbuck.

as always, thanks for participating!

Yes, bow to me.

And thank you! I'm glad people like my Cain, because she is totally the least Cain-y Cain of all time and I know it, but I love her.

I love the way she thinks of the Blackbird as if it was Laura.

You touched the insides of something named Laura. Home.

You had flown it what--two times? Three? Enough to lose count.

And the parallelism here.

Now I'm glad I hadn't read the whole The Word series until now, because I so need to go back to season 2. Thanks for helping me settle again un such a beautiful and femslash-friendly universe. =)
