I was released from the hospital yesterday. I had to wait until 4 o'clock as my sister had to drive wayfinder38 to his pre-op appointment for his cataract surgery Wednesday. They almost missed the appointment due to an all night power outage for them the night before. He could not use his CPAP machine or his wonderful new electric bed and had an extreme case ( Read more... )

I am so glad you are home and doing well. You are a very strong woman though and I expected that you would handle it all, whether you want to or not:)

Thanks. I'm wondering if this colon business is the result of stress that I have not been willing to show that I'm feeling. I hope I am resilient and not brittle as we are not done with our trials by a long shot as you know. I hold out hope we can see our new grandson before the end of the year but I'm not counting on it.

While it could easily be stress that you are not feeling it isn't that uncommon a procedure as people age. And considering all the life difficulties you have had in the last few years in particular I suspect if you were brittle you would already have cracked :) Anyway wishing you well and hoping things get better sooner than you expect.

Glad you're home! It does help a person feel better to walk around a little! Hope you're feeling better soon! It will be a while before you have much energy, though.

Are you doing any meditation? Or B vitamins? I found that both of those and walking help with stress.

In the summer we use bunny-counting as a motivation to walk. It's a two mile loop over to the park and back. Tonight we saw 16 bunnies. But when it gets cold and dark out there isn't much anymore that motivates us to walk.

Hugs!

I'm sure you're happy to be home. I'm glad to hear that Dick is doing better, too. How wonderful that your sister could be there for you.

You must not be feeling quite yourself yet. It's hard to imagine that you bought HP but didn't start reading it right away. :-) I'm sure you're making up for lost time by now.

Do take care of yourself. I'm wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery.
