Dang, we're, like, working in real time or something. Took about ten minutes for the next chapter to pop up.

This is fun!! I have an unholy love in my heart for Wussy!Chase, with the fanfic tear in his eye, begging House not to leave him. He always makes me smile. And Angelina is totally awesome - she can kick House's butt to Trenton and back in no time, and that's a very good thing. Maybe she can adopt Chase and take care of him like he deserves...

This is totally like real time; I'd just finished putting in a few minor edits when I noticed your review. ^^ I love Fanfic Chase as well; he's over-the-top emo when the canon version is so tightly contained that he barely ever cracks, unless he's under the fiercest pressure from House. This contrast between fiction and fanfiction is what inspired this affectionately loony story.

Yes, and Angelina totally needs to adopt Chase and stuff him full of home-baked cookies and advice on House-training.

Oh, this is hysterical! I've laughed until I have tears in my eyes. Voles, indeed. I love the switch at the end. And House and Angelina's interactions are fantastic. Also, thank you for comparing the wombat thing to a porcupine. "Wombat" doesn't bother me, not really. It's kind of taken on it's own life in fan-fiction, but House didn't even call him "wombat." He just compared him to a wombat. I'm looking forward to the next part. :)

Thanks for commenting; I'm really glad that you're having a laugh. (Humor is a scary genre, because you never know if what you find funny will appeal to anyone else.) Also glad that you caught the "vole" thing; I figured it would be like House to make an anagram of what Chase really said.

As for wombat; yeah, I know that House used it as you said (I think it was in Honeymoon), when he was trying to inject Stacy's husband against his will. The thing is that "wombat" is now used almost ~universally~ in fanfic as a term of endearment, when House was actually insulting Chase at the time...and I thought it might be fun to see what "canon" Chase thinks of being called by that name. ^^

Actually, I can kinda sorta see porcupine being used as an endearment -- it would suit House very well.

I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the ride to the point where you get the Chases back to their right universes and Houses.

It'll be a bit of a giddy romp, maybe with a few moments of seriousness in between, but I hope you'll still enjoy it. You're right about "porcupine," too--it completely fits House! (Oh, the tyranny of the subconscious.)

I'm glad that the "two Chases" are coming across loud and clear. (Yes, I know this plot point is in the summary, but you might be surprised by some of the confused reviews I get on other sites. ^^)

Also, thanks for the Angelina love, and for noticing Chase's bemusement at the "wombat" appellation; I'm planning much more fun for poor Canon Chase--although Fanfic Chase will wreak equal havoc in the "real" House-verse.

Oh, but I couldn't possibly outdo Evil Nurse Brenda; I mean, the woman makes Foreman take a 12-year-old girl to the morgue to run tests! (I love the thread somewhere on TWoP where someone (Sara M?) has proposed making a TV series out of Evil Nurse Brenda terrorizing people across the country while traveling with the Night Janitor Who Wears His Pants Backwards. ^^)

Angelina is just a simple Jersey girl who talks tough but is truly protective of Chase, and in a weird way, cares about House as well. At least, she's supposed to be that way. ^ ~
