The seal. The seal. I must find the seal. I must find it, destroy it, free her. This world will burn. All worlds will be destroyed once she comes to me.His trip to the infirmary had gone well enough. The doctors had not-so-happily helped him. Perhaps they would have if he had not turned and taken them by the collars of their coats and with a sneer threatened to peel their flesh from their bones to wear as a disguise. They'd made for him a fascinating eye of some indestructible material and into the left socket he popped it. It didn't move, so perhaps it looked a little strange, but it was better than nothing, right ( ... )

Ephraim felt the presence of another and found a strange man pass him by carrying a weapon over his shoulder. Normally, he would dismiss it as someone who was heading out to practice. The man's eyes however told him otherwise. Those eyes weren't one of peace. He looked agitated, determined to bring harm. And as far as he knew, there were no shadow creatures up and about. This man looked like he was out for blood.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" he asked the man as he passed by.

Caim turned. He had to be kidding. He didn't want to be interrupted. His turn wasn't complete and it was just enough for Caim to stare him squarely in the face. Squarely. As though nothing else was going to get in his way. This man--this boy, rather--was an obstacle and nothing more.

He made a single gesture, one that Ephraim wouldn't understand, most likely.

Don't waste my time, you fool.

His own steely eyes were upon the man, appraising him and the situation at hand. Ephraim himself was unarmed save for a dagger that he kept with him, but that wouldn't do any good against a broadsword. The man looked strong and seemed to handle his sword with ease. One of his eyes looked a bit off as though it wasn't moving in line with the other more active eye. Although he may not have understood the gesture, that look was more than enough to communicate to Ephraim.

"This is a land of peace. You're not going to do anyone any good with that weapon of yours."

First there was that rain. It had come down pretty heavily too. Zelda tried to remember if she ever came across it in Hyrule and for whatever reason, she couldn't seem to remember any of that happening. Unfortunately. Perhaps she'd spent too much time in the castle and had sheltered herself away.

With the rain came the puddles, and the young man who'd splashed her and worried about her dress. It was so sweet and charming... She couldn't deny that she didn't like it. Link had... otherwise disappeared, likely having returned to their homeland for one reason or another. Sheik was having his own issues and had refused to speak with her. So there were ups and downs.

In the fog, however, she found the young man who seemed so in adoration of her music playing. A hand lifted and as she waved it back and forth, she gave a bright smile, "King Ephraim!"

A voice in the fog, one that was just as musical as the instrument she played. He turned and his expression brightened when he saw that familiar face emerge through the fog.

"Ah! Princess Zelda. What a surprise to find you out here."

She caught up to his side and with her hands at her skirts, she curtsied to him, a nice, long gesture of her respect for him. After all, he was a king, and not simply a prince. The only king she'd ever known was her father--and likely Ganondorf, although he seemed just a single leader.

"Well... I... thought I would take a look around. It was seeing you that brought me out here. The sky is so cloudy, however, that it is difficult to navigate well, if at all. I am surprised I was even capable to recognize you."

Ephraim himself bowed in greeting and offered a smile to the princess for her kindness. "It is touching to know that you came out here because of me. But you must think of yourself. Now doesn't seem to be the best time to be out here." He raised his hand to offer it to Zelda. "I think it'll be best to continue this somewhere warmer perhaps."
