Who? Ephraim of Renais and anyone who cares to join
What? A bit depressed from the departure of his rival, Ephraim decides to stroll the park to reassess his reasons for staying in Aegean. He is on the verge of returning home, but something seems to be holding back.
Where? The park
Warnings Most definitely none.
Innes decided to leave. There was nothing wrong with that. He was free to come and go as he chooses. However, his absence in the room was very much felt and the King of Renais couldn't help but feel a little lonely in that room. No more incessant arguments, no more fighting over who was the better. The place seemed empty. Perhaps he had been spending a little more time with Innes because of his sister's absence. Now that he was gone, who did he have left from his trusted circle? Seth perhaps. But he was always away. Right now, Ephraim was feeling like a king who had everything but the people who mattered the most.
Lost and wistful, Ephraim took to the park, draped in his royal garb, his cape wrapped tightly around him as it fluttered in the wind. It was cold and that horrible fog only served to dampen his mood further. He held himself for warmth and clutched the brace around his arm, one of two that remained in this world. The other half, his sister had given to another as a momento. Somehow, it no longer held the same significance now that his Other no longer had it, yet he kept it if only to remind him of her. He wondered if she was still thinking of him even though they were worlds apart. She had her own life and occasionally he would catch himself thinking that she didn't care about him as much anymore. He chided himself for believing such nonsense, but those thoughts continue to surface regardless.
Was there anything left for him anymore? Would he just be better off returning to Renais? Ephraim was still trying to figure this out. Not what Eirika wanted. Not what Renais wanted. But what *he* wanted. Unfortunately, he was very much conflicted.
