Despite really not wanting to come, it was her duty to do so. Denise Marmalade checked into the hat check nearly half of an hour before the Prom started. Having met with Princess Peach beforehand, she's wearing her new Chinese dress perfectly. She even has make-up on and is wearing a blue pearl bracelet. Her Chinese outfit is complete with chopsticks in her hair. She even has contacts in and high heels.
That doesn't mean she's very happy, though. She's waiting at the coat check for anyone who wants to check something in. She has tags ready to hand to people and enough bins with matching numbers to hold things in. She also has a special little drink handy...a bottle of water that she brought from home!
She watched the clock on the wall silently, seated in a chair behind the counter. Despite being all dolled up, she was just there to do a job.
Katsuya wasn't exactly thrilled to be here either, but it was his job and that was that. His job meant everything in the world to him and he would do anything for it. Even babysitting apparently. The only thing worth more to him than anything else in the world was his younger brother... and that considered, at least he kinda sorta knew what he was getting into coming here.
The Sergeant was simply going to slip in unnoticed (avoiding Shinji-kun for the moment, too, thanks) when his eye caught something that instantly stopped him in his tracks. Marmalade-san was running the accessory check, wasn't she? Then...
Was that really her? He had to blink once or twice beneath his glasses. Curious, he walked over nonchalantly. "...Marmalade-san?" he asked quietly from off to the side of the main portion of counter.
Denise took another drink from her water and immediately checked a small mirror she had brought in her purse. Dress to impress; that's what Dojima had said. If she ended up spoiling everything just because she wasn't used to wearing lipstick, then...well, at least she didn't have date.
She nearly spilled her water bottle when Katsuya approached. "Y-yes! Yes, I'm running the coat check, Katsuya!" She immediately stood up and saluted.
Katsuya cringed a bit as she reacted so excitably. Then he calmed his features into their normal state and his body relaxed as he leaned against the counter casually. He smiled slightly, reassuringly, and spoke in a calming voice. "Yes, I can see that, Marmalade-san. Very good."
There was a slight pause and then, "You don't have to salute."
After slipping in past Shinjiro undetected (or at least unhindered by any wayward teasing comments) and his brief unexpected pause at the hat-check where Marmalade was working, Katsuya made his way further into the temporary ballroom. He was dressed as formally as most of the students by order from his superior, in a black tuxedo that was obviously custom tailored to him complete with properly tied bow and perfectly placed handkerchief in the breast pocket. He still managed to retain his designer sunglasses; however, it would be interesting to note that they were a deep blue hue rather than red tonight, and somehow they fit perfectly with his formal appearance.
Once thoroughly inside Suou stuck to the shadows, melting into the background so that he could watch everything without any interference. He was surprisingly good at it (or perhaps not; he was a violent crimes detective for a reason). His natural skills were only enhanced by his Persona, too; Helios was a black cat after all. All said and done, he easily managed to stay hidden

Edited! Yes, Teta is sorta tipsy >_>delitasisJune 15 2009, 05:05:05 UTC
Teta wasn't quite sure how many of those cups she had drank over the course of that time she had spent with Lady Peach and Ser Link: two? Three? She was certain that only a few hours had passed since her arrival, but somehow, she was starting to feel a bit strange, and her face a bit warm

Katsuya noticed the girl ahead of time but chose to ignore giving that knowledge away until she'd decided to stop near him. His eyes continued to stray across the dance floor even then, though undoubtedly that was impossible to tell between the shadowy lighting and his tinted glasses, but he did tilt his head towards her to give her sight the illusion of his attention nonetheless. He could multitask; he really was paying attention

XDDDDDD At least she didn't drink enough to have a hangover?delitasisJune 15 2009, 22:44:53 UTC
Teta tilted her head, as the words came to her at once. In her slight fog, it was hard for her to think, much less bring things together in a coherent way...at least as quickly as she usually could. It wasn't as if the warmth in her mind and her body was enough to make her completely unsure of her own thoughts, and lose complete control...
She simply was more...open. Less uptight, if one will.
Though still, it was confusing. The man couldn't have been that much older than her brother, perhaps by two or three years (and in the light, he did look a bit like him...it was probably just the hair, though even then, Delita's wasn't quite like that). His clothes made him seem a bit older, maybe, and the glasses...why did he wear those?
But Teta was caught a bit off-guard by the smile. Her already flushed face was even mixed with the soft pink with a blush.
"'On Duty', sir?" She asked. "Are you...a Kni--no, excuse me. A 'police officer'?"
Erika liked dressing up. It helped that she did modeling work for ROOTS26. Otherwise... Well, no. She still would have liked dressing up. There was nothing that really made her nearly squeal about the environment than the music, the idea that Duel and K-Na were there, and then that later Seth would show up and she'd get to dance with her favorite dishwasher ever. Assuming that he actually look a moment to break from his patrol and would dance with her outside in the moonlight.
She stirred herself from the strange thoughts and wasted no time in looking for where the DJs had set up. There was one she wasn't quite familiar with and if he turned out to be a friend of Duel's she wanted to get in on that. On the start of her journey, she began to squeeze between those on the sidelines, completely avoiding the dance floor. It wouldn't do well for her to trip and make a spectacle of herself.
K-na had been buried in technology but that didn't mean he wasn't easy to find. He was wearing a bright blue suit with a neon green tie and a pair of matching slacks. His hair was spiked as usual but no headphones. They were back in his room. K-na's definition of dressing up was bright colors in a somewhat formal way.
She'd managed to find him easily enough. She just had to look for the one in the fluorescent clothes. She brushed herself off, looking a little more traditional from home. It wasn't quite the same as usual, but it was close enough that she looked comfortable. Except where her outfit ended might have been a little too short.
"Hiiiii~!" She greeted him with a large smile before literally launching herself at him, aiming to wrap her arms around his neck. "I'm so happy to see you!"
Edge had originally wanted to stay home, but somehow he ended up the prom king nominations and here he was. Honestly, he didn't need to be prom king to know how attractive he was (but, he certainly wouldn't complain if he did win). He didn't wear a tuxedo or anything so droll, decked out in something like ceremonial ninja garb (Thank you very much Amano, you freak.) the ninja prince glanced around for anyone he knew.
"I always hated wearing these." he said to the person at his side.
Eventually--it was inevitable--Sun Ce wandered off on his own for a little bit. Likely at some point in time when Da had finally had even dancing and was content to sit around idly at a table for a while. Sun Ce would have been content to sit at the table for only a little while--then he'd kindly excuse himself and run off to find a friend.
He had sworn to find a certain someone here.
So his first task was to find Edge. Which he did. And somehow or another he managed to come up from behind the ninja and wrap an arm around the guy's neck, leaning into him quite casually as they both stared out into the crowd.
Edge was spacing out just a bit. He really hadn’t wanted to even show up. But, there he was trying not to end up bored and drunk. Oh, he had tested out the punch and knew almost immediately that it was heavily spiked.
As fun as it would be to run around a prom drunk, Edge didn’t want to end up running into Kain drunk and proceeding to burn now the hotel with a Flame spell. “Hey, Bofu.” He may not have sounded too enthused, but he was happy to see the Chinese man.
Sun Ce was just happy enough (maybe he had drunk some punch?) to grin like an idiot and lean a little more into Edge. "Hey, Edgey." He giggled a little. Yes, that was definitely a giggle.
To make sure Emi didn't eat all of the food. That was really the only reason Alice had even gone to the prom. It wasn't like she didn't know what proms were like or what they were good for. It just never seemed like something she would attend, and if she did, she generally wanted to be with Rage and Gus. That wasn't going to happen.
Gus was off doing his DJing for the entire gig, and she had absolutely no idea where Rage was or what he was doing. With a hand upon Emi's back, she gave her a gentle push in, "There are a lot of people. I don't think I expected so many. I mean, yeah, I expected some, but..." She chuckled a little nervously, "And next to you, I look sort of plain." She didn't mind too much, though. After all, Emi looked just cute as a button.
"Oh you look fine!" Emi contradicted. In fact, she looked more than fine. She was so pretty, but the dancer was far too embarrassed to say anything. Oh her heart was in such a flutter. She tugged at her skirt, flustered, unsure of what to do now.
Alice blushed, and painfully apparent it was. She glanced over to her companion and fidgeted a little, shifting her weight from one foot to the other and back again. "Hm... Well... Do you wanna dance, Emi-ko? Or would you rather go see what kind of snacks they have? I bet they have good food."
Yet somewhere in the back of her mind, Alice wondered if and when she'd see Ephraim. It was a bit of a shame that his sister had left. It meant she couldn't borrow the nice clothes anymore.
Dance or snacks? That was like choosing between life or death! Why couldn't they be somehow combined into one action? But that was dangerous. That would probably find its way to death.
